Sleep deprivation is a major health concern among people of all age groups. Sound sleep is necessary not only for your physical but also for your mental well-being. How much a person should sleep
As per the National Sleep Foundation, young adults and adults aged 26 to 64 years should sleep for at least 7 to 9 hours a day. Adults over 64 years need to sleep for almost 7 to 8 hours a day. While teenagers require around 9 to 10 hours, for school-aged kids and pre-schoolers, it is even more.

As per studies, women require about 20 minutes more sleep than men. But the main question remains – why so? Well, it is because of the high degree of poor sleep women experience as compared to men. Women need time to catch up for their sleep loss that is caused due to several reasons.
